Patrick McGann, DDS

Dr. Patrick McGann is a native of the east metro, growing up in Cottage Grove and Woodbury. After ten years of private practice in the west metro he is thrilled to now be working in Lake Elmo.  He currently resides in Bayport with his wife Jody. 

Dr. McGann attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry from 1998 to 2002 where he served as President of his class. He then completed a residency at the Minneapolis Veterans Administration Medical Center with a focus in oral surgery.  Currently, Dr. McGann is an alumni member of the Dawson Academy, a world-renown organization providing instruction on complex restorative and esthetic cases.

Dr. McGann is an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota Dental School and enjoys working with students at outreach clinics.  He has volunteered for many years at the Union Gospel Mission, supervising dental students as they treat needy patients.  Dr. McGann also volunteers his dental expertise each year at Project Homeless, and he has traveled to Uganda on three occasions to treat children who would otherwise receive no dental care.

Lanette’s goal is to make her patients feel comfortable, relaxed and of course laugh, while providing them the best gentle dental care.  She has one rule, all patients get to be a “King or Prince, Queen or Princess” in the dental chair.

Lanette graduated from the University of Minnesota Dental Hygiene program in 2006.  She received the Achievement in Public Health & Community Dentistry Award and Park Dental Service Excellence Award.  She also completed the Restorative Functions program as the first undergraduate student at the University of Minnesota.  She holds a membership for the University of Minnesota Alumni Association, Colgate Online Communities – The RDH Network and is on the board of the 1919 Society – University of Minnesota Hygiene Alumni and True North Dental Hygiene Study Club.

Her volunteering includes: serving as a Minnesota delegate for American Dental Hygienist, Give Kids a Smile for multiple locations, Special Olympics, Community Outreach Programs – Oral Education and Operation Grace, MN providing dental care to those in need.  She has participated in multiple volunteer positions through her church and her daughter’s sports/activities for the communities of Forest Lake and Stillwater.

Lanette is married to Ben and they have two teenage daughters who keep them very busy.  She likes to read, walk/run and play tennis.

Amber joined McGann Family Dental in January of 2017. Before becoming a dental hygienist, she was a dental assistant and has been in the dental field for over nine years. Amber has worked in a variety of specialties, including oral surgery, endodontics and general dentistry. As a child, Amber loved going to see her dental hygienist and hopes she can have the same impression with you. “I love being a hygienist. My goal for you is to provide you the best possible care in a caring and gentle manner. I want you to feel comfortable and will strive to help you achieve and maintain a healthy mouth.”

Amber has always had a passion for education and leadership. While completing her dental hygiene degree at Century College, Amber had the opportunity to serve as the secretary of the Dental Hygiene Community Club. When she was in the dental assisting program at Dakota County Technical College, Amber served as a member on the Dental Assistant Club and was also a member of Phi Theta Kappa, an honor society. When she is not  cleaning your teeth, you can find Amber taking additional courses at Metro State University in order to obtain her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene.

Amber also enjoys volunteering. Whether helping out at organizations like Give Kids a Smile, delivering oral health presentations at local elementary schools, or volunteering at Hope dental clinic in St. Paul, Amber loves giving back to the community. Amber is also a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and Minnesota Dental Hygienists’ Association.

Being a native to the east metro suburbs, Amber is excited to serve the community in which she grew up. Her husband and her currently live in Woodbury with their daughter, son and two dogs. She enjoys spending time with family, being outdoors, reading, and doing arts and crafts, especially painting!

Annette - Assistant

Annette - Assistant

Annette has been a dental assistant with the practice since 1990.  She has also been a Certified Digital Software Trainer since 2006.

You will find her assisting Dr. Patrick or Dr. Lisa or at the front desk area answering any questions you may have.  Her favorite part of being an assistant is the excitement of another person’s smile.

She is the mother of two teenage boys and just celebrated her twenty-fifth wedding anniversary!

She is a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America as a committee member and merit badge counselor.  She enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends and volunteering as a teen leader at her church.

Jean - Assistant

Jean - Assistant

Jean has had an interest in the field of dentistry since 7th grade after watching a commercial for dental assisting school.  She enjoy’s making the patient feel relaxed and comfortable during the procedure.  In her spare time she can be found catching up with friends over a good meal and playing with Max, her ragdoll cat.  She believes in continuing her dental education and volunteering at the Union Gospel Mission in St. Paul.
